bio in philosophy

Why have I become involved in philosophy? The question usually arises in the context of questions about what God has called me to do. Can I say without reservation that God has called me to philosophy? Frankly, as a philosopher there are very few things I can say without reservation. Do I have recollection of a light from heaven, scales falling off my eyes, a mountain-top experience or some revelation that gives me certainty about what I am doing? Unequivocally, no I don’t.
